Made-to-measure dildos: Because the customer always comes first

An enterprising sculptor has come up with a novelty way to spice up the sex lives of her customers: made-to-measure bespoke dildos. Stefanie Dorr crafts her hand-carved sex toys in her Berlin, matching the exact dimensions of her clients to ensure the customer always comes first.

'Handmade is always the best,' said the lady who markets her products as Playstixx.

'Even our grandmother knew that. A product made with passion gives more passion.'

And of her inspiration for the bespoke bedroom novelties, she explained: 'I remember seeing one for the first time and wondering why they only came in one shape and one colour.'

Stefanie's made-to-measure delights follow the recent unearthing of what's believed to be the world's oldest dildo.

Archaeologists in Sweden uncovered the four-inch-long phallus carved out of a stag's antler, which they estimated to be between 6,000 and 8,000 years old.

'At first I thought it was just an antler that had been worked on and I was going to take a closer look at it,' blogged the team's Sara Gummesson.

'But when I held it up I wasn’t able to stop laughing.'
